Happy Birthday Dance!

For my birthday the boys gave me a card that sings Celebrate Good Times when opened. It was the gift that kept on giving because I was entertained all day with this. Thought you'd all appreciate a bit of my birthday experience.

Father and Sons' Outing

Yankee Doodle Lake

Dallin's first fish.

Swimming Like Fish

Dallin recently learned how to swim and surprized us by attempting the diving board. He's pretty proud of himself and we are proud of him as well.

Caleb, on the other hand, has graduated from simple jumps to tricks, dives, and flips.

Enjoying the Patio

This is the view from the back patio of our home. We love it and have enjoyed sitting out on our little patio in fold-out camping chairs for an occational picnic, ice cream, or just a good book. Beautiful, for sure, but not always the most comfortable spot.

The other day as we were driving out of our complex Michael spotted these new chairs (outside the dumpster ... way to go Mike). After I cleaned them up nicely we put them on our patio and created a nice little sitting are. Now, the boys and I enjoy lunch on the patio just about every day, and it has become a hot spot in our home.

Camping Trip

Camping with the boys in our new tent (look familiar mom)?

Caleb found a hot spot with plenty of wood to start this roaring fire.

Dallin's favorite spot: the water pump! He was ready and willing to fetch water for all. Mostly, I think he just liked splashing around in the mud puddle that formed each time he ran this errand.

Dallin, we discovered, had never tasted a roasted marshmallow (shameful I know). For this sweet tooth the experience was pure pleasure...the rest of us couldn't stop feeding them to him for entertainment.

Lots of sugar...Little sleep!

Kayaking

Sitting back to enjoy the ride.

Fishing For Critters

The boys showing off their bucket of crayfish

Dallin with his make-shift fising pole.

What's hiding under that rock?

It's hard to tell who had more fun catching these little critters.

Fireworks on the Fourth!

Uncle Jon wrestles some silly kids.

Baby Cali relaxes on the blanket.

For a brief period it started to rain. To keep warm and keep spirits up we made a human tent then listened to stories about purple squirrels and black bears.

And the show begins!

Enjoying the Show and the company:)

The Natural History Museum

From the museum the boys spotted an outdoor fountain (I think it looked more appealling to Dal and Trey from a distance). After some consideration they both took a turn running through and then they were done.
