A Lost Tooth

Caleb noticed that he had a loose tooth.
We told him it would fall out when the time was right.
He opted for sooner then later because he was
looking forward to his visit from the tooth fairy.
Mission accomplished! On a side note,
Dallin didn't like the idea of a fairy sneaking
into his bedroom at night while he slept. After
strenuous attempts to convince him the tooth
fairy is friendly, he remained unconvinced and
insisted on sleeping with mom and dad that night.

A Nice Warm Bath

Dallin loves his baths. Throw in a few toys and he is good to go until his fingers start to prune. I caught him singing the Batman theme song here. After a quick peek to see who is spying on him he continues to play.

Brit gets ready in style!

Skiing with attitude.

The first time up the slopes.

Madison and Aubrey got to ride on the snowmobile with the rescue crew. They were the envy of all attending skiers (including their dad).

The three stooges.

At least one of these guys look tired out from his skiing adventure. Good thing we're heading back to the cabin for hot chocolate and warm beds.

Superheroes

Dallin loves to play superheroes and was excited to have a buddie to play with while Caleb was at school. His cousin Luke came to visit from Utah and stayed with us for a while. Luckily they had a Buzz Lightyear each and enough superheroes costumes to go around.

Growing a Goatee

A rare look a Michael with a goatee. He decided to let it grow out while studying for the bar exam. Because of this, we referred to it as the good-luck goatee. Hopefully it worked!

Dallin's Hospital Stay

Dallin and I spent a week in the hospital while he was having trouble breathing. With a little oxygen and some TLC we were able to go home. Our trials continue to serve as a reminder that we are surrounded by loving family and friends. Thank you all for your love and support.

Thus began the chocolate milk addiction.

Dallin had a positive attitude throughout his stay at the
hospital. He'd sneak a smile in whenever we caught eyes
(as long as there weren't any needles, drugs, or doctors within sight).
Feeling much better with gifts from loved ones.

CARS at the Drive-in

Last summer we couldn't resist going to see the movie Cars at the drive-in. It was such a nice night that we were able to set our blanket out on top of our car and enjoy the movie. It made for a late night and memorable time.

Where is that butterfly?

A closer look.

Always climbing!

Alligator Sighting

On our trip to Florida we wanted to go for a swim
at the local beach. However, as we walked towards
the water we were surprized to find we weren't the
only ones in the mood to swim that day.
As we approached the roped off swimming area we
spotted a not-so-friendly reptile in the water just a few
yards away. Swimming with the boys became a less
appealing option at this point.

We opted for a paddle boat ride instead.
Better safe then sorry!

Fun at the Farm in Florida

The girls pose for a photo on our way to the farm
festival. On a side note, you may have caught that
Gretch is wearing the exact same shirt as I.
However, you couldn't know that I bought
it first (just wanted to clarify). It's can be tough
being a big sister, but it's exciting to have
someone adore you and want to be just
like you in every way, paying attention to every
detail of your life, even down to the
very clothes you wear.
What can I say... I love you Gret!
How cute can they get?

Mom was super excited to see all the folks in costume.
Combine her excitement with a camera and the result is
over twenty-five random photos of unique farm
characters. Thank goodness for digital and delete.
Shown here are a few of her favorites.
While mom was
snapping shots,
Dallin spent some
time galloping his
favorite animal.
The only thing
that convinced him
to move on was
the temptation
of another one of
his favorites...
food (specifically
kettle corn
at the next booth).

Caleb enjoyed making these stilts and
testing his skills on them. It was slow
going for a while because it took some
acquired coordination to master, but
eventually he got it. Simple pleasures.

We ended our outing with a pleasant, slow
horse-drawn wagon ride around the farm.
On a speedier note...the boys took a few
trips around the neighborhood on the scooter
with Uncle Heath. The boys enjoyed their
ride so much they tried to convince dad
to buy one when they got home.
While he may have eventually given in,
convincing mom would be be a whole
different story (not going to happen).

Timp. Caves with Cousins

After a little waiting for all to arrive, we are ready to hike to the caves.
Goofy, goofy, goofy. Can you tell we're all related? About halfway up the trail we take a little rest on the perfect rock. Ironically, the Swenson family cousins rested on this very same rock twenty years ago for an equally cute photo shoot.

A little bug ... a lot of attention!

Caleb adds spunk to a father/son photo of cousin Luke and Uncle Jim.

Dallin spent most of the hike on the shoulders of whoever was willing to give him a lift. Most of the time it was his cousin Madi:)

While cousins were curious about the different rock formations in the cave, Caleb had other things in mind. When asked by the ranger if there were any questions Caleb had just one, "why is it so scary in here"?
