Fun in the snow at the cabin

This weekend we went up to our friends cabin. The weather was nice so we spent the afternoon playing outside in the snow. Afterwards we warmed up by the fire, had hot chocolate, and watched a movie. It was a perfect day!

Caleb and Jade teamed up to form the ultimate snowball. They kept tormenting Michael by tossing snow at him, but he showed them. It's not beneath him to wage a full-on snowball war with a couple six year olds.

This is my "best friend". I adore her because she always introduces me as her "best friend Joyce Hanchett" and when she greets me she'll say "Hello best friend" followed by a hug. She calls Michael, Caleb, Dallin by their first names, but insists on calling me Joyce Hanchett for some reason...I love it!

Christmas Eve with Cousins

This year we spent Christmas Eve with our Colorado family. After a great meal of ham and potatoes we sat down together for a little program.

On a side note...How cute is this little Santa?

The Hansen family smiles for a photo.

Aunt Kathi conducted the chiming of Jingle Bells.

Everyone was able to participate, which resulted in some interesting renditions of of our favorite holiday songs.

Uncle Jon read us The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey. The story tells of a widowed woodcarver who rediscovers the meaning of Christmas.

Aunt Summer shared a story on the rippling effect a positive attitude can have.

Dallin and I cuddled on the couch. He likes to lay on my stomach and laughs whenever he feels his little brother kick him.

Our family shared the symbols of Christmas with a little gift swap.

The girls posed for a cute cousin shot while the Willis family shared a song and some of their family favorites of 2007. We really enjoyed this special evening with family and look forward to future family fun.

Our Candy Train

How cute is it? I'm not sure who had more fun making the train,
the boys or their parents.

Six silly boys.

Someone stole some chocolate!

The others caught on:)

Snowmobiling With Friends

This is my favorite shot. I was taking a break while Michael tested some of the deeper snow. This is a picture of him and a few of his buddies heading my way.

Thumbs up for a good time.

Our destination for the evening was our friends cabin. Here we had a nice dinner and warmed up by the fire before heading back down the mountain.

Looking Forward to a White Christmas

Let it snow! Today it snowed and I'm hoping the ground will stay white for Christmas. Something about snow and Christmas go hand and hand for me. Last year it snowed for Halloween, but for Christmas the sun was out. This year things have seemed to straighten themselves out.

Yes, I've resorted to bribing the boys for smiles with candy and I'm not ashamed to admit it either. Whatever works for a cute shot!

Foothills Basketball!

He shoots! He Scores!

Happy Birthday Dallin!

A little close for comfort.

Caleb challenged me to a little shooting contest. At five months pregnant, I've still got a shot and I'm not afraid to take on the challenge of a six-year-old!

Boy #3

The results are in...last night we went to the doctor's for an ultrasound. Our votes were cast and the winners were to be treated to Jamba Juice. Anticipation was high! Right as the nurse was going to reveal the sex of our new baby, Dallin announces he has to go to the bathroom really bad. It couldn't wait! Michael rushed Dal out while Caleb and I stayed in the room and tried to convince the nurse to reveal the big secret. She kept quiet, but as soon as Michael and Dallin entered the room she posted I't's A Boy on the screen. We got some amazing 3-D pictures of our new little guy and a DVD of him stretching and yawning. It was the neatest thing to watch. If I can figure out how to post them I will. We are so excited!

Happy, Happy Halloween!

We are excited to go out trick or treating as a family. Caleb is dressing up like a Ninja and Dallin decided last minute to copy his big brother. So we will have two Ninja's this year on Halloween night. Our camera died and we're in the process of replacing it so no pictures...sorry. Hope you all have a fun Halloween.

Some Halloween Humor!

Back to School

Caleb and Dallin at the bus stop.

These are Caleb's buddies. The one in blue is named Allonzo and he is in Caleb's class. This morning he saw me taking a picture of Caleb and walked up to us to say, "Don't I look handsome today?" I responded that he did indeed and that I might just have to take a picture of him. To this he said, "That would be fine, but first let me tell you the secret to getting my hair to look so good. First, get lots of water on it. Second, take a comb through it. Third, make the sides spike." He added that I could do Caleb's hair that way, too, if wanted...I don't! I wish I could have gotten a closer shot of his hair style, but I thought you'd appreciate the story anyhow.

And he's off to first grade.

Dallin and I go about our day collecting rollie pollies.

Another Fine Fish!

Michael and his brother went fishing this weekend and caught 42 fish in all. Here are a few of their finest.
